Ostra niewydolność wątroby

1. Biopsji wątroby nie zaleca się u chorych z ostrą niewydolnością wątroby spowodowaną przez leki, preparaty ziołowe lub zakażenie HBV.

2. Biopsja wątroby może pomóc w ujawnieniu choroby Wilsona, autoimmunologicznego zapalenia wątroby, zakażenia Herpes virus, stłuszczenia drobnokropelkowego lub wątrobowego rozsiewu choroby nowotworowej.

3. Z powodu obecności koagulopatii preferowana jest biopsja z dostępu przeznaczyniowego.

4. Wykonanie biopsji w ciąży może być uzasadnione w przypadku podejrzenia ostrego stłuszczenia wątroby ciężarnych.

Transplantacja wątroby

1. Biopsja wątroby powinna być wykonana u chorych z przeszczepioną wątrobą i nieprawidłowymi wynikami testów wątrobowych, jeśli nie są one wynikiem obturacji dróg żółciowych. Zalecenie to jest niezależne od czasu, jaki upłynął od transplantacji.
